The Arboretum will be open at both the Wilmot and Bloomwood entrances from 1-4 pm Sunday, September 16 for walking and a workshop.The Sunday, September 16 Open House will feature:

• Workshop on "The Evidence for Climate Change"
• A major upgrade of the Loop Trail and the Spur Paths
• Maturity of the Coleus Garden
• Lovely "pluming" of the wire grass prairie as the seed stalks develop
• The start of a new Bird Center
• Relocation of the Organic Garden
• A major "make-over" of the Bald Cypress swamp (spectacular!)
• Extensive clearing of brush on the entire east side of the Arboretum from from the Bloomwood corner to Wilmot Avenue
• A new Recycling Center including free firewood for the taking

Doors open at 1pm. The Arboretum will be open until 4pm. Come a take a stroll through our neighborhood's oasis in the city! Everyone in the neighborhood is invited. No animals will be allowed. Please consider walking to the Arboretum as parking is limited.
