The 2009-2010 City of Columbia’s Annual Action Plan will detail the needs for Columbia communities and the overall city of Columbia in the areas of housing, homeless and special needs, public and social services jobs, other non-housing needs.
This plan will also contain a HIV/AIDS housing needs component that covers the counties of Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Saluda, Kershaw, and Calhoun. Please assist by giving your input. The plan will be submitted to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). During the public hearings, the following information will be disseminated:
- Estimated amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME and HOPWA funds available and the range of activities to be undertaken
- The proposed amount of Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and HOPWA funds to be used to benefit low and moderate income persons
- The recommended program activity for the use of HOPWA funding
- The Proposed Amendments to the Community Development Block Grant budget
