SFNA Dues Increase

Sherwood Forest Neighborhood News
At our May 12th general meeting we discussed several new initiatives the association is taking to better our neighborhood. To support those initiatives, the membership voted on May 12th to increase our dues to $20.00 per member household per year.

One of those new initiatives is to pay a yard service to maintain the CANDO gardens adjacent to the arboretum on both the Bloomwood and Wilmot sides. We are responsible for these gardens and the volunteer support has not been able to keep up with their maintenance. The minutes for the meeting will be posted on our website soon so you can read the details.

We are a young association and our expenses have been minimal so far - a few social events and not much more. However, as we mature and take on new responsibilities we find that our current annual dues of $10.00 per member household just isn't enough to meet our needs. We are planning a membership drive to get more members, and we are developing a detailed budget to better identify our financial obligations and needs. However, we know that we need to increase our association income now to meet immediate needs, so the dues have been increased to $20.00 per member household per year pending finalization of an association budget.

We know times are tough for everyone, and we hope you understand we did not take this action lightly. We ask your support by timely payment of your association dues.

Thank you!
Ed Tilden, President

You can pay your dues online using PayPal or credit card or by sending a check to our treasurer Rhett Bailey at 511 Kalmia Drive, Columbia, SC 29205.
