Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter announced today that the Department’s Police Athletic League (PAL) will hold a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 8:30am-1:30pm. The fundraiser will be held at Columbia Police Department's South Region Headquarters (2632 Millwood Avenue).


Chief Carter stated "We realize that economically times are tough everywhere but a donation to a group like this will mean a great deal to the youth of PAL". All donations from the car wash are being used for supplies, uniforms for the dance team and for the meal program. Columbia Police-PAL is a nonprofit organization.

Donations start at five dollars for cars and motor cycles, eight dollars for sport utility vehicles and ten dollars for trucks.
