Larry Hembree and Joe Hudson's house was burgled on Thursday, March 29. The VanZees, next door, had a broken window but no entry.
Thanks to an incredible gut feeling and taking the time to follow these two suspicious young men in his car (starting when he saw them somewhere on Wilmot), a neighbor got the police here and they caught the burglars, two Dreher High seventeen year olds. Officer Folding, our neighborhood community police, was key in the capture due to having given out his cell phone number at the meeting the other night. Folding and his backups where here in a matter of minutes.
The neighborhood offers a big thanks to our neighbor for his work in pursuing the men and for setting the example of being a responsible neighbor. And also thanks to Officer Folding for his quick response to the situation.
