The City of Columbia, South Carolina (City) is receiving comments regarding housing and community development needs within the City’s boundaries. The City anticipates receiving an estimated $907,000 in FY 2010 HOME funds, an estimated $1,244,500 in FY 2010 CDBG funds, and an estimated $1,404,500 in HOPWA funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Over a period of five years, the total grant funds are expected to be in excess of $17.5 million. Citizens are asked to express their views on the allocation of these funds.
