USC Belser Arboretum Open House Sunday, March 17, 1-4pm The public is invited to an open house at the W. Gordon Belser Arboretum. The open house program is held the third Sunday of every month, and features a variety of learning elements in these events. SFNA Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up Saturday, May 11, 9:30-11am Volunteers are invited to participate in the cleanup which is part of the Keep The Midlands Beautiful Adopt-A-Highway program. We will meet at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot. We will work from Devine to Rosewood on Kilbourne, then east to Beltline, and finishing at Sherwood Forest Church. Mardi Gras Columbia Festival Saturday, March 2, 11am - 6pm City Roots, 1005 Airport Blvd Bring your cash and your purple, green and gold panache, and celebrate Mardi Gras Columbia! The ninth annual Mardi Gras Columbia Festival and parade hosted by the local nonprofit Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya, the family-friendly event will kick off with the customary neighborhood Mardi Gras parade at 11am, followed by a music festival with more than 20 live bands from 12pm to 6pm. Facebook event... Daylight Saving Time Saturday, March 10 Spring forward and try not to fall back as you change all your not-internet-connected-devices for daylight saving time! Crier emails We are making an effort to send out these informational emails around the first of every month to keep neighbors up do date on neighborhood events, and other events and information of interest. It's cheaper and better for the environment not to print and pass out fliers! But we could all probably use the exercise!
