Columbia Water urges residents to be "Water Wise"
Columbia Water customers are encouraged to conserve water during periods of extreme heat. So during these dog days of summer, Columbia Water would like to remind customers to be "Water Wise" to reduce water use and monthly water bills.

Area residents can purchase discounted rain barrels online at columbiasc.net/headlines/06-21-2018/Columbia-Water-water-wise

For more information, water-saving tips, or to find out more about looking for leaks at home, see columbiasc.net/utilities-engineering

Richland County Land Development Manual Public Comment
Richland County is seeking input on a new set of guidelines aimed at protecting water quality and limiting the negative effects construction projects may have on the surrounding environment.

The Land Development Manual establishes minimum standards for engineers, developers, plan reviewers, inspectors, contractors and other parties to abide by during the planning, designing and construction of land development and redevelopment projects in Richland County. The manual specifically targets stormwater issues and puts measures in place to ensure privately built roads meet S.C. Department of Transportation standards.

Richland County is asking the public to review the working document online at richlandcountysc.gov/ldm. Comments will be accepted until Friday July 20.

Crier emails
We are making an effort to send out these informational emails around the first of every month to keep neighbors up do date on neighborhood events, and other events and information of interest. It's cheaper and better for the environment not to print and pass out fliers! But we could all probably use the exercise!

If you have information of interest to the neighborhood, please pass it along and we may include it in a future Crier.

Tell your friends and neighbors to subscribe. No membership required, but of course we would like everybody to join! New neighbor? Let us know and we'll send out the welcome wagon.

To subscribe, email membership@sherwoodforestneighbors.org or subscribe online
