Sherwood Forest Neighborhood General Meeting
The regularly scheduled SFNA general meeting will be held Tuesday, August 9 at 6:30pm at the Sherwood Forest ARP Church. There will be a neighborhood Meet & Greet at 6pm.

Bob Amundson, Executive Director of Affordable Housing Resources will speak about their program to place low income families in affordable homes that AHR owns. Since they are looking at homes in Sherwood Forest, come hear first hand about this program and what it means to us and the families who participate.

If you have a topic or concern you would like to discuss, email Ed Tilden at president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Arboretum Update - Volunteer Opportunity
Pat DeCoursey has a one-time request for help to do some clean-up next to the Arboretum on Saturday, July 23 early in the morning (7:30am to about 10:30am). There is an empty house (Brookfield's) with an overgrown yard on Blossom/Bloomwood to the left of the Bloomwood entrance of the Arboretum (as you face the arboretum). The weeds and litter in this yard are affecting the Arboretum and the neighborhood has been asked for help cleaning it up.

Please consider giving whatever time you can that morning. Bring work gloves, clippers, and any other tool you think might be useful, but some tools will be supplied.

Contact Valerie Marcil at at 738-0682 (arboretum@sherwoodforestneighbors.org) for more information.

The Arboretum's web site has been updated. See it at http://zebra.biol.sc.edu/arboretum.
