Sherwood Forest Neighborhood General Meeting
The regularly scheduled SFNA general meeting will be held Tuesday, August 9 at 6:30pm at the Sherwood Forest ARP Church. There will be a neighborhood Meet & Greet at 6pm.

Bob Amundson, Executive Director of Affordable Housing Resources will speak about their program to place low income families in affordable homes that AHR owns. Since they are looking at homes in Sherwood Forest, come hear first hand about this program and what it means to us and the families who participate.

If you have a topic or concern you would like to discuss, email Ed Tilden at president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Neighborhood Crime Watch
All neighbors are encouraged to get to know your neighbors, keep an eye out for suspicious activity, and participate in our Community Watch by being an observant "nosy" neighbor. If you are going to be away on vacation, remember to notify your neighbors, stop newspaper and mail delivery, and secure your home. For more tips on preventing burglaries, see http://www.columbiapd.net/compstat/pdfs/Burglary%20Flyer.pdf

If you have experienced a crime perpetrated against you or your property, report it immediately to the police by calling 911. To report suspicious activity, call 911 or the non-emergency number 252-2911 or our new Resident Patrol Officer MPO Timothy R. Baire (737-5895, trbaire@columbiasc.net).

You may also wish to sign up for the Nixle notification service which is available on the internet. You can choose to receive email or cell phone text message alerts from the Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association, the City of Columbia Homeland Security Department, the City of Columbia Police Department, the Columbia Fire Department, the Richland County Sheriff's Department and other agencies.
