SFNA General Meeting August 22
The next general meeting of the Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association will be held Thursday, August 22 at the Sherwood Forest Presbyterian Church on the corner of Wilmot Avenue and Beltline Boulevard. Socialize with your neighbors from 6–6:30pm. The general meeting will be from 6:30-8:00pm.

Mayor Benjamin, Moe Baddourah and Larry Sypolt have agreed to be our guest speakers. We will conduct our association business from 6:30 to 7pm, and the three speakers will have the floor from then until 8pm. This is an excellent opportunity for members of our neighborhood to meet the three candidates for Mayor!

If you have an issue you would like discussed at the meeting or if you need transportation to the meeting, please contact Ed Tilden at 803 530-2436 or email president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Bring yourself, your family, your neighbors, and any concerns you may have to the meeting!

City of Columbia Commercial Area Plan Public Meeting
The City of Columbia will host a community open house for the Devine St, Ft Jackson Blvd, Garners Ferry Rd, and Beltline Blvd commercial area. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the land use environmental, transportation and urban design opportunities and issues. It is also a time for the community to discuss what changes they'd like to see in the area. The meeting will be held at the Sherwood Forest ARP Church on Thursday, August 15 from 6 to 8pm. See columbiaplanning.net or contact John Fellows at 545-3215 or jsfellows@columbiasc.net for more information.

Adopt A Street Trash Pickup
The Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Assocation has adopted our neighborhood streets for litter pickup. The next scheduled pickup is Saturday, August 10, 2013. We need a Beautification committee chairman to coordinate the pickup! This event is part of the Adopt-A-Street program of Keep The Midlands Beautiful. More information about the Adopt-A-Street program is available on the Keep The Midlands Beautiful web site at http://www.keepthemidlandsbeautiful.com.
