September Sherwood Forest Food Truck Rodeo
Friday, September 30, 5pm-8pm
The Food Truck Rodeo is coming to the neighborhood one last final Friday this summer on September 30. We will have dinner served by a variety of food trucks with shaved ice thrown in for fun! You can stay and eat here with your neighbors or take it home for your family.
Plant the Trees in Sherwood Forest!
The City of Columbia’s Division of Forestry & Beautification has a tree planting program for Columbia residents. Each winter they plant 500 trees in the city’s right of way areas to provide an urban tree canopy. This is a free service that plants new trees, waters the trees for two years, and prunes and maintains the trees over their life span. They are currently putting a list together of sites to plant trees. As you know, neighborhoods with trees are the most desirable in which to live, and trees help to increase the property values of a neighborhood.
