Halloween Hot Dog Supper, October 29!
Erik and Ashley Norton are hosting SFNA's annual family hot dog bash on Saturday, October 29th at 5:30pm at 321 Kalmia Drive. Hot dogs and fixin's, and chips and other sides will be provided. BYOB and bring a picnic blanket or chairs. Trick or treating will still be on October 31st.
  • Kalmia wil be blocked off from Wilmot to Mimosa for the Hot Dog Supper.
  • Costumes are encouraged, but not required!
  • Drew Robb (our Kalmia Drive neighbor) is going to bring his tractor and trailer again this year for a hayride during the Hot Dog Supper. You can catch the hayride in front of 321 Kalmia Drive.
  • Luminaries (candles in paper bags!) will be available for you to use as a signal that you are a neighbor open for trick or treating.
Please contact Ashley Norton at 799-7904 or social@sherwoodforestneighbors.org if you would like to help with the Hot Dog Supper.

Sherwood Forest Neighborhood General Meeting
The regularly scheduled SFNA general meeting will be held Tuesday, November 8 at 6:30pm at the Sherwood Forest ARP Church. There will be a neighborhood Meet & Greet at 6pm.

David Simpson, Head of Grounds for Historic Columbia Foundation, will be our guest speaker at the November 8th meeting. Mr. Simpson will share with us information on the gardens of HCF and current initiatives for improvements. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about Historic Columbia Foundation and what it offers Columbia residents! Historic Columbia Foundation web site: http://historiccolumbia.org/

If you have a topic or concern you would like to discuss, email Ed Tilden at president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Volunteer Opportunities With SFNA
We are currently looking for a Beautification Committee chairperson to replace Brad Painter who has served in that position for a number of years and has done a great job!

SFNA conducts quarterly litter pick ups in the neighborhood in coordination with Keep The Midlands Beautiful. We have also adopted Kalmia Drive as part of their Adopt-A-Highway program.

If you would like to volunteer for the Beautification committee or any other Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association position or committee, email Ed Tilden at president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Our current officers and committee chair persons are listed at http://www.sherwoodforestneighbors.org/Article350.html

SFNA has several openings for block captains and co-captains. Block captains are the backbone of our organization, so please consider volunteering. For a map of our zones and current block captains, see http://www.sherwoodforestneighbors.org/index.php?module=NukeWrapper&file=blockcaptainsmap.html
