Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party
The goblins are haunting
The monsters will mash,
It's time to get ready for
Our neighborhood Halloween Bash!

Cynde & Robert Devlin will host an informal Halloween Party on the front lawn of their house at 504 Kalmia Drive on Friday, October 31st, from 5pm until 7pm. Kalmia from Blossom to Wilmot/Duncan will be blocked off. Bring your own picnic supper and blanket. We'll have hotdogs and chili with chips. Drinks will be provided. Please bring a dessert to share. Everyone can socialize, the kids (and adults?) can show off their costumes, and then disperse to trick or treat.

Indicate your participation in neighborhood trick-or-treating by burning your porch light.

We are looking for volunteers to assist in setup, food, activities and cleanup. Contact Cynde Devlin at social@sherwoodforestheighbors.org

SFNA General Meeting November 11
The next general meeting of the Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Association will be held Tuesday, November 11 at the Sherwood Forest Presbyterian Church on the corner of Wilmot Avenue and Beltline Boulevard. Socialize with your neighbors from 6–6:30pm. The general meeting will be from 6:30-8:00pm.

We will be electing a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of our association. We encourage all members to come and vote their support.

Our speaker will be Ryan Nevius from Sustainable Midlands. She will inform us about the storm drain marking program and the importance of preventing debris and toxic wastes from entering storm drains and streams. Sustainable Midlands is working with the City of Columbia to mark our storm drains with medallions that say No Dumping. Drains to Waterway. Help mark storm drains in our neighborhood on Saturday, November 15 at 10am.

If you have an issue you would like discussed at the meeting or if you need transportation to the meeting, please contact Ed Tilden at 803 530-2436 or email president@sherwoodforestneighbors.org.

Bring yourself, your family, your neighbors, and any concerns you may have to the meeting!

Adopt A Street Trash Pickup
The Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Assocation has adopted our neighborhood streets for litter pickup. The next scheduled pickup is Saturday, November 15, 2013. We need a Beautification committee chairman to coordinate the pickup! This event is part of the Adopt-A-Street program of Keep The Midlands Beautiful. More information about the Adopt-A-Street program is available on the Keep The Midlands Beautiful web site at http://www.keepthemidlandsbeautiful.com.
