Here is your SHERWOOD FOREST CRIER December 21, 2012 Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Twelfth Night Party The Sherwood Forest 12th Night Adult Party is scheduled for Friday, January 4th, 2013 from 6-10pm, and will be held again at the home of Regina Monteith at Bloomwood, the former home of W. Gordon Belser at 530 Kilbourne Road. We are always grateful to Regina for opening her wonderful historic home to us! The SFNA will provide some food and beverages, but we ask that you bring whatever holiday treats you can. Sherwood Forest Presbyterian Church Holiday Events The Sherwood Forest Presbyterian Church will present the Christmas Choir Cantata at 10:30am on December 23rd, and a Candlelight Service on December 24th at 6pm. USC Belser Arboretum January Open House The Belser Arboretum's monthly Open House for the general public on the third Sunday of each month from 1-4pm. The next open house will be on January 20. Columbia Crime Online Columbia Crime Online The Columbia Police Department has launched a several new ways for the public to stay informed about crime activity in their area. Citizens can see crime activity based in their neighborhood or the city as a whole, making it even easier to access near realtime crime information. RAIDS Online provides near real-­time crime information provided by the Columbia Police Department. Citizens can see crime activity based in their neighborhood or the city as a whole. Cop Logic is the Columbia Police Department's Citizen's Online Police Reporting System. Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a non-emergency report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. In addition to online information, there is now MyPD, an iPhone and Android app to give citizens an additional way of connecting with CPD. The free app can be downloaded by searching for My Police Department or MyPD in the iPhone, iPad, Android Marketplace, or Amazon App store. If you would like to contribute to our neighborhood association's success we need you to volunteer for one of our committee chair positions. We need a Membership Chair, Beautification Chair and Safety Chair. These positions are critical for our association, but the work involved is not that demanding. Block captains are the backbone of our organization, so please consider volunteering.
